Le plus important théologien du III^e siècle dans l'Église romaine et le premier antipape (217-235).

S'opposant à saint Calixte 1^er, il est exilé en Sicile puis se réconcilie avec l'Eglise avant d'être martyrisé, persécuté par l'empereur Maximin.

On fête également les Bénilde, Cassien, Radegonde et les Vitaliana.
