2 septembre, Sainte Ingrid de Skänninge. Princesse suédoise (✝ 1282)

Elle était, par sa mère, petite fille du roi Knut de Suède. Devenue veuve, elle fit un pèlerinage aux Lieux Saints. Au retour, passant par Rome, elle obtint du pape l'autorisation de fonder un couvent de religieuses cloîtrées dans son pays, qui furent des tertiaires dominicaines. Son frère Jean Elovson, chevalier teutonique, l'aida de son argent et le couvent fut inauguré à Skanninge en Suède en 1281.

On fête également les Habib et les Juste.

She was, through her mother, granddaughter of King Knut of Sweden. Widowed, she made a pilgrimage to the Holy Places. On her return, passing through Rome, she obtained from the Pope the authorization to found a convent of cloistered nuns in her country, who were Dominican tertiaries. His brother John Elovson, a Teutonic knight, helped him with his money and the convent was inaugurated at Skanninge in Sweden in 1281.
